On August 11, 2021 it was stated in the Pattaya Mail website;

The Pattaya-Hua Hin ferry survived summer storms, pier renovations and mechanical issues, but Covid-19 finally sunk the service.
Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome announced Aug. 10 that Royal Passenger Line Ltd. had requested that its contract for Pier 3 at the Bali Hai jetty not be renewed and that it was suspending its catamaran service to Prachuap Khiri Khan, probably forever.

The ferry connection between Hua Hin and Pattaya is now a reality and commenced operations from the beginning of January 2017. Critics and doubters were there many of the last months up to the premiere and probably also rightly so, because there had been repeated attempts at a ferry connection in the past between the two popular holiday towns.

In operation..
